Fruit for this iconic cuvée comes from its eponymous 1er Cru vineyard, just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the Grand Cru of Clos St. Denis. This punchy, flavor-packed Pinot shows muscular flavors of red fruit, game, and crushed stones. This rugged, earth-driven wine is drinking beautifully now, but we’d advise letting it integrate a bit over the next 3-5 years.
